Thank you for choosing T-Boost Scan (“App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), developed by Anton Dimas (“Company”). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at hello@tboostscan.com.
By using our App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App immediately.
This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through the T-Boost Scan mobile application and any related services.
1. What Information Do We Collect?
In Short: We collect limited personal, device, and usage data to provide the scanning and optimization features, to manage subscriptions, and to measure our marketing. Sensitive health data is processed on your device and is never sold.
Information You Provide or We Generate:
• Scan history: Product barcodes, product names, ingredients (when available via public databases), and the T-Impact Scores we calculate.
• T-Impact Scores, T-Scores, and related insights: Generated estimates based on public ingredient data and your self-reported inputs. These are treated as health-related information for optimization purposes.
• Onboarding inputs: Self-reported information such as age, sleep, energy, diet quality, exercise, stress, your stated goal, and symptom check-ins, used to calculate your T-Score.
• Coaching prompts: Any questions, chat history, or inputs you send to the Atlas coaching feature.
• Scan & analysis photos: Images you capture or select to scan food labels, and optional face or body photos used for visual analysis. These images are sent to our third-party AI provider to extract ingredients or generate a visual estimate, and are not stored by us after the result is generated.
• Community content (optional): If you use the Community feature, the posts, comments, votes, and the display name or alias you submit are stored in a shared, publicly readable Apple CloudKit database and are visible to other users of the App. Do not post anything you wish to keep private.
Apple HealthKit Data (optional):
• With your permission, the App reads steps, sleep, workouts, and heart-rate-variability data from Apple Health to refine your T-Score, and may write related wellness data back to Apple Health. This data is processed on your device, stored only on your device and in your private Apple CloudKit container, and is never used for advertising or sold. You can revoke Health access at any time in Settings.
Automatically Collected Information:
• Device information: Device ID, model, operating system version, and IP address.
• Advertising identifier (IDFA): Only if you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt (see Section 2).
• App usage and event data: Features accessed, scan frequency, and in-app events such as completing onboarding, viewing the paywall, and starting a trial — used for product analytics and marketing attribution.
• Subscription data: Your subscription/trial status and transaction history, processed via Apple and RevenueCat (we never receive your full payment card details).
• CloudKit sync data: To enable seamless history across your Apple devices.
Health-Related & On-Device Data Note: T-Impact Scores, T-Scores, and optimization insights are treated as health-related data. Your raw inputs, HealthKit data, and scan history are stored exclusively on your local device and within your private Apple CloudKit container. We do not collect, store, or sell sensitive, un-aggregated clinical data (such as blood test results or hormone levels).
To power the AI features, your chat prompts, the photos you scan (food labels and optional face/body images), and aggregated, derived metrics (such as the calculated T-Score and pillar scores) are processed by a secure third-party AI provider — not raw HealthKit samples. These AI features run only after you grant AI consent, and scanned images are used solely to generate a result and are not stored by us afterward; only the resulting scores remain on your device.
We request camera access to scan barcodes and product labels, and photo-library access so you can provide food, face, or body photos for analysis. Images you scan are sent to our AI provider for analysis and are not stored by us afterward. You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.
2. App Tracking Transparency & Advertising Identifier
In Short: We ask before any cross-app tracking. The App works fully whether you allow it or not, and your health data is never involved.
When you set up the App, iOS shows Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, asking whether you allow T-Boost Scan to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites.
• If you allow: We and our attribution partner AppsFlyer may access your device’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to measure which marketing campaign or channel led you to install the App.
• If you decline or take no action: The App functions exactly the same. We do not access your IDFA, and install measurement relies only on privacy-preserving methods such as Apple’s SKAdNetwork.
We use this information solely to understand which marketing channels are effective — not to build advertising profiles about you, and never in combination with your health-related data, scan history, or coaching chats. You can change this choice anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
3. How Do We Use Your Information?
We use the collected information to:
• Provide core functionality: product scanning, T-Impact Score calculation, T-Score tracking, and scan history.
• Power the interactive Atlas and optimization coaching, using a combination of on-device models and a secure third-party cloud AI provider.
• Analyze the photos you scan (food labels, and optional face/body images) to extract ingredients or generate a visual estimate, using on-device and third-party cloud AI.
• Manage subscriptions, free trials, and entitlements (via Apple and RevenueCat).
• Enable iCloud sync of your scan history via Apple CloudKit.
• Measure the performance of our own marketing campaigns and analyze in-app usage (via AppsFlyer).
• Improve the App, fix technical issues, and maintain security.
• Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your health-related data (T-Impact Scores, T-Scores, HealthKit data, or coaching chat logs) for advertising, profiling, or marketing, and we never sell any of your data.
4. Will Your Information Be Shared With Anyone?
In Short: We do not sell your data. We share limited information with service providers that power core features, to measure our marketing, or when legally required.
• Apple (CloudKit, HealthKit, StoreKit, Foundation Models): to enable iCloud sync, on-device features, and purchases under Apple’s privacy protections.
• RevenueCat (subscription management): processes a randomly generated app user ID and your subscription/transaction status to manage entitlements and validate receipts.
• AppsFlyer (analytics & attribution): processes device information (device model, OS, IP address, device identifiers, and IDFA where permitted) and in-app event data to measure installs and marketing performance. AppsFlyer acts as our processor and does not sell this data.
• Third-Party AI Provider (currently OpenRouter): with your consent, receives your coaching chat prompts, the photos you scan (food labels and optional face/body images), and derived metrics (such as your T-Score and pillar scores) solely to generate scan results and conversational responses. This data is handled under confidentiality and security terms, is not used to train public models or for advertising, and the images are not retained by us after processing. Raw HealthKit samples are never sent.
• Public food & supplement databases (Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central, NIH DSLD): receive the scanned barcode solely to retrieve basic product and ingredient information.
• Legal Compliance: to comply with law, court orders, or government requests.
• Business Transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We never share your scan history, raw health data, or AI conversations with advertisers or data brokers.
5. Social Sharing
When you choose to share a scan result or T-Score card (for example, to TikTok, Instagram, or Messages), the App uses Apple’s standard iOS share sheet to hand off an image and caption to the app you select. T-Boost Scan does not embed any third-party social-media SDK and does not track your activity on those platforms. Once content leaves the App through the share sheet, it is governed by the privacy policy of the destination app or platform.
6. Health & Medical Disclaimer
T-Boost Scan is an educational and informational tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.
T-Impact Scores, T-Scores, and ng/dL figures are lifestyle-based estimates derived from public ingredient data and your self-reported inputs. They are not laboratory tests, blood results, or medical diagnoses, and are provided for peer-comparison and educational purposes only. Individual results vary and are not guaranteed.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your health, diet, supplements, exercise, or any treatment. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read or calculated in the App.
7. Is Your Information Transferred Internationally?
Our primary data storage uses Apple CloudKit. If you are located outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where Apple, RevenueCat, AppsFlyer, and our AI service provider operate. We rely on standard contractual clauses and other required legal frameworks to safeguard this data.
8. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We keep your scan history and related data only as long as you use the App or as needed to provide the service. You can delete all your data at any time from within the App settings (this also deletes it from CloudKit). Aggregated analytics and attribution records held by our service providers are retained according to their own retention schedules.
9. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including Apple’s secure CloudKit private database, on-device processing where possible, and encrypted, secure API endpoints for third-party cloud features. However, no system is 100% secure, and transmission of data is at your own risk.
10. Do We Collect Information From Minors?
We do not knowingly collect data from or market to anyone under 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you may not use the App.
11. What Are Your Privacy Rights?
You have the right to:
• Access, review, or delete your scan history and data within the App settings.
• Withdraw consent for camera, Health, tracking, or iCloud access at any time in device settings.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
For residents of the EU, UK, or California (CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights such as data portability or objection to processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
12. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features
We honor Apple’s App Tracking Transparency choice (see Section 2). We do not separately respond to browser “Do-Not-Track” signals, as the App does not engage in cross-site browser tracking.
13. Do California Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?
Yes. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. Certain advertising-attribution activity (see Section 2\) may be considered “sharing” under the CPRA; you can opt out by declining the ATT prompt or disabling tracking in your device settings.
14. Do We Make Updates to This Notice?
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the “Last updated” date.
